Product claims and substantiation

We publish specifications because we think the category hides them. That commitment cuts both ways: where we state a figure, we hold documentation for it, and where we don't have documentation, we don't state the figure.

Materials. Where we describe a component as 304 stainless steel, we hold mill certification from our manufacturer for that component. Certification is available to customers on request at hello@dukeanddot.com.

Filtration. Our filters use activated carbon and mechanical filtration to improve taste and clarity and to capture hair and debris. They are not certified to remove lead, PFAS, heavy metals, bacteria, or other regulated contaminants, and we make no such claim. Filtration for those contaminants requires a certified system.

Health and veterinary matters. Nothing on this site — including any calculator, guide, blog post, or email — is veterinary advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Our products are designed to encourage drinking. They are not medical devices. A sudden change in your pet's water intake, urination, or appetite can indicate a serious medical condition. Contact a veterinarian. No product we sell substitutes for veterinary care.

Hydration calculators and estimates. Any intake figure we present is a general estimate derived from published guidance and your inputs. It is not specific to your animal. Individual needs vary by breed, age, activity, diet, climate, and health status.

Photography. Product images are representative. Screen color varies, and minor variation in finish between units is normal for stainless steel.

Reviews, testimonials, and endorsements

We do not write, purchase, solicit, or incentivize fake reviews. We do not move reviews between products or product lines. We do not suppress negative reviews, and we do not condition a discount, refund, or replacement on a customer posting a positive review or removing a negative one.

If we ever provide a free or discounted product in exchange for an honest review, that relationship will be disclosed on the review itself. If we work with affiliates, ambassadors, or paid creators, those relationships will be disclosed in the content where they appear.

Individual results described in reviews are that customer's experience and are not a promise of typical results.

Advertising
